Himalayan white aster (Dungre Phool)






Himalayan aster (Dungre Phool) has a perennial herb with solitary floral head about 1.5-2 cm with numerous narrow ray- florets and a white head and yellow in center. Himalayan aster found on open places or slops in all part of Sikkim. Bees are the regular floral visitors of the species.

Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary (under Kanchenjundga National Park) between in the south-west corner of the west district of Sikkim.
