Buddleja asiatica (Bhimsenpate)

Buddleja asiatica (Bhimsenpate) is shrubs 2-3 tall with dull green leaves and flowers borne in dense spikes (white). The plant is used as an abortifacient and to cure dermatosis and other skin diseases. It is found to be effective in the treatment of inflammation and malaria. The dried and powdered root is used in the preparation of fermented liquor (locally known as marcha) in local sikkimese. Location: Deythang, West Sikkim Phenology: Flowering (full blooming) Altitude: 4400 m.

Himalayan white aster (Dungre Phool)

Himalayan aster (Dungre Phool) has a  perennial herb with solitary floral head about 1.5-2 cm with numerous narrow ray- florets and a white head and yellow in center. Himalayan aster found on open places or slops in all part of Sikkim. Bees are the regular floral visitors of the species. #Namchisouthsikkim.

Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary

Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary (under Kanchenjundga National Park) between in the south-west corner of the west district of Sikkim. Floral includes several species of Rhododendrons, Gymnosperm like, Juniperus, Cupressus, Picea, Pinus, ect. and herbs like Primulas are wide distributed under the colour blanket on the ground.

Moringa oleifera (Sajana)

Moringa oleifera is the most widely cultivated species in the fam ily Moringaceae. It is commonly known as SAJANA in Sikkim..it is grown in lower belt of the state and through the India.. Bryophyte

Funaria (Bryophyte) is a genus of approximately 210 species. Funaria hygrometrica is the most common species in Sikkim. It is called “cord moss” because of the twisted seta which is very hygroscopic & it is found in moist and cold areas of the Himalayas belt. @ Sribadam West Sikkim.
