Buddleja asiatica (Bhimsenpate)

Buddleja asiatica (Bhimsenpate) is shrubs 2-3 tall with dull green leaves and flowers borne in dense spikes (white). The plant is used as an abortifacient and to cure dermatosis and other skin diseases. It is found to be effective in the treatment of inflammation and malaria. The dried and powdered root is used in the preparation of fermented liquor (locally known as marcha) in local sikkimese. Himalayan white aster (Dungre Phool)

Himalayan aster (Dungre Phool) has a  perennial herb with solitary floral head about 1.5-2 cm with numerous narrow ray- florets and a white head and yellow in center. Himalayan aster found on open places or slops in all part of Sikkim. Bees are the regular floral visitors of the species. #Namchisouthsikkim.
